Toivottavasti teillä oli upea Kansainvälinen Lolita Päivä viime viikon lauantaina! Mulla oli muuta touhua koko päivälle, joten mekkoilinkin pari päivää etukäteen. Päällä oli mun uusi aivan älyttömän kaunis mekko yhteistyökumppanilta Devilinspired -nettikaupalta. Mekko saapui jo jonkin aikaa sitten, mutta olen ollut todella kipeänä ja elämäni pahimmassa yskässä, joten mekon oli pakko odottaa. Odotus oli kyllä sen arvoista ja pidän siitä hirmuisesti! 🐻🌼

Hopefully you had a wonderful International Lolita Day last Saturday! I had other things to do all day, so I had a lolita dress up day a couple of days in advance. I was wearing my new incredibly beautiful dress from my collaborate partner Devilinspired web store. The dress arrived already some time ago, but have been very sick and having the most horrible cough of my life, so the dress had to wait. It was totally worth the wait and I like it a lot! 🐻🌼

Mekko on aluperin Infanta -merkkinen, mikä on kiinalainen indie brändi ja Devilinspired jälleenmyy heidän vaatteitaan. Tuotesivulla mainitaan, että käsittelyaika on 30 päivää, mikä peraiaatteessa tarkoittaa tekoaikaa. Infantan tuotteet ovat kuitenkin varastovalmiita, joten mekko saapui todella nopeasti. Laatu on oikein hyvä ja olen todella tyytyväinen tuotteeseen. Materiaali on kevyttä ja pehmeää sifonkia. Sitä on erityisen paljon helmassa ja hameosa liikkuukin viehättävästi ja se on supermuhkea! Mekon yksinkertainen tyylikkyys ja merimieskaulus olivat syyt tähän valintaan ja ai että se on ihana. 

Ainoa kritiikin kohde on helman vuori, joka meinaa näkyä hameen alta, etenkin takaa.

Lämmöllä suosittelen silti mekkoa ja Devilinspired kauppaa, koska kokemus on ollut aina hyviä ja löytyy suuri valikoima Taobaon lolitamerkkien tuotteita. 

The dress is originally from Infanta, which is a Chinese indie brand and Devilinspired resells their clothing. There's a mentioning of a 30 day process time on the product page, which basically means the time for the item to be done. However Infanta products are ready in stock, so the dress arrived really quickly. The quality is very good and I'm very happy with the product. The material is light and soft chiffon. There's especially much of it in the hem and the skirt moves gracefully and it's super large! The simplicity of the dress and the sailor collar were the reason for this dress choice and oh my it's a lovely one.

The only critique is the lining of the skirt, which has a way of showing from under the hemline, especially at the back.

Still warmly recommending the dress and Devilinspired store, because my experience has always been good and they have a great variety of Taobao lolita brand products.

Mekko inspiroi mua hieman vintage-henkisestä tyylistä, ehkä amerikkalaista 40-lukua. No ei nyt tietenkään täysin historiallisesti oikein olevaa, mutta sellaista vibaa. Kyl te tiedätte. (*¯ ³¯*)

Halusin pitää asun mahdollisimman yksinkertaisena ja jokseenkin nudena, sekä eleganttina. (outoa käyttää noita sanoja samassa lauseessa) Saan myös tuosta lace front peruukista aina vintage viboja, joten se oli ehdoton valinta tähän. Muutenkin kovasti tykästynyt siihen. 💕 

Menin käymään ihan varta vasten mun äidin luona, että sain otettua asukuvat hänen keittiön pirttikaapin edessä, koska mun mielestä se oli tosi kiva tausta. Pikkuisen sekainen kylläkin. Hyvä syy poiketa mutsin luona ja häätää se pois olohuoneen sohvalta, kun meitsi tarvi tilaa kameran jalustalle. Sit me juteltiin huutelemalla huoneesta toiseen, kun meitsi otti kuvia ja äiti istu tietokoneella lukemassa facebookkia ja uutisia. Joten se meni periaattessa niin että "päläpälälpäl - kuvapose - pälälpälä - pose - pälä - asetussäätöä" jne. (≧◡≦)

The dress inspired me a little about vintage style, maybe something like American 40's. Well not exactly historically accurate, but a vibe to that direction. You know what I mean. (*¯ ³¯*)

I wanted to keep the outfit as wimple as possible and somewhat nude, also elegant. (feels weird to use those words int he same sentence) I'm also getting major vintage vibes from that lace front wig, so it was a clear choice for this one. Anyways really gotten to liking it. 💕

I went to visit my mom especially for these outfit pictures, I wanted to take them in front of her wooden cabinet thingie, because I thought it was a really nice background. Slightly messy though. A good reason to stop by at my mom's and drive her out of the couch, when I needed space to place my tripod for the camera. So we talked by shouting from one room to another while I was taking the pictures and mom was at her computer reading news and stuff from facebook. So it basically went like this "blaablaablaa - photo pose - blaabla - pose - blaa - adjusting settings" etc. (≧◡≦)

Mulla on uusi ihana kissamekko! IIiih! ♡ ♡

Tehtiin todella ihana yhteistyöjuttu Devilinspired -verkkokaupan kanssa. Devilinspired jälleenmyy lukuisten kiinalaisten pienempien merkkien ja tuottajien lolita ja historiallisen tyylisiä vaatteita. Monilla Taobao-kaupoilla ei ole omia kauppoja länsimaalaisille ja jotkut kokevat hankalaksi tilata shopping servicen kautta, joten on todella mukavaa, että länkkäritkin saa helposti näitä juttuja. Parin tunnetunkin jälleenmyyjän kanssa on monella lolitalla ollut kuulemani mukaan ongelmia (Clobbaonline ja My lolita dress) ja tilaukset ovat olleet vääriä tai toimituksella on kestänyt järkyttäviä aikoja. Oma kokemus Devilinspired-sivustolta oli toimiva. :)

I have a new wonderful cat dress! Waaah! ♡ ♡

We made a lovely collaboration with Devilinspired -web store. Devilinspired is a retailer for lolita and historical inspired clothing from several smaller Chinese brands and makers. Many Taobao-shops don't have sites of their own for western buyers and some feel like it's too complicated to order via shopping services, so it is really nice for western people to easily access these items. I've heard stories from other lolitas about their experiences and problems with a couple of know retail shops (Clobbaonline and My lolita dress) and the orders have been wrong or the delivery taken terrible long times. My own experience with Devilinspired -site was a good one. :)

Mekko oli made to order, eli se tehdään vasta tilauksesta, jolloin prosessissa kesti noin pari kuukautta postituksineen saapua perille. Useilla Taobaokaupoilla on erityisesti ennakkotilauksissa sama käytäntö. Ei kyllä yhtään haitannut odotella. Tuotteen sivulla lukeekin, suurin osa on tilattavia tuotteita ja valmistuksessa kestää noin 30 arkipäivää plus toimitus. Toimitustapana oli DHL ja onneksi heille on tulllut noutopisteitä, ettei tarvitse kotona kykkiä odottelemassa tai noutaa meillä päin viereisen kaupungin varastolta. 

Mekko on todella kaunis ja kevyt, printti aivan ihana! Siinä on niin monta suloista kissaa ja mun tekisi mieli nimetä ne kaikki. :P Headdressissä on klipsut alla, ettei se valahda, mahtavaa! Vyönauha ja rusetti ovat irroitettavat, mikä tekee asusta mukavasti muunneltavan. Värivaihtoehtoja on kolme: sininen, violetti ja vaaleanpunainen. Mielestäni violetti toimi parhaiten kokonaisuutena. 

Mekossa oli yksi pienoinen ongelma, en tiedä onko tämä yksittäistapaus, sillä kyselin kaverilta kenellä on Soufflesongin mekkoja ja hänellä oli kaikki ok. Mekon yläosan saumoista puuttui huolittelut ja ne olivat pahasti purkautumassa. Otin yhteyttä ja mainitsin asiasta, jolloin Devilinspired olisi maksanut palautuksen mekolle. Halusin kuitenkin päästä sitä heti käyttämään ja näppärästi hurautin saumat itse. :)

The dress was made to order, so it was manufactured after ordering and the whole process took about two months including shipping to arrive. Most Taobao shops have the same procedure especially with pre-order items. I didn't mind the wait. It is mentioned in the item description, that most are made to order-items and the processing time is about 30 working days plus delivery time. The shipping was via DHL and luckily we have gotten pick up-places, so that don't have to wait around at home or go pick it from their warehouse from our neighbor city. 

The dress is really beautiful and light, the print absolutely gorgeous! It has so many cute cats, that I feel like naming them all. :P The headdress and clips underneath, so it won't start slipping, awesome! The waist tie and the bow are detachable, which makes it nicely adaptable. There are three colour choices: blue, purple and pink. I think the purple works the best as a whole. 

The dress had a little problem, don't know if it's an individual case, because I asked about a friend who has Soufflesong dresses and everything is fine with them. The seams of the bodice was missing the overlock (the finishing touch on the edge) and fabric was badly starting to come out. I contacted them and mentioned this and Devilinspired was going to pay for the return shipping of the dress. I wanted to get using the dress and was handy and sewed the seams myself. :)

Aluksi epäilin, miten vyötärönauha pysyy paikallaan, kun se on irrallinen ja mekossa ei ole lenkkejä tai muita vastaavia pidikkeitä. Se pysyi loppujen lopuksi nätisti paikallaan ja tykkään siitä, että saan muutettua rusettia eri kohtaan ja siirrettyä myös mekkoon kuuluvaa rusetti-rintaneulaa. Tällä kertaa laitoin sen kauluspaitaani luodakseni enemmän yhtenevän kokonaisuuden. 

Pähkäilin samana päivänä todella kauan tämän asukokonaisuuden kanssa. No ensin ei meinannut löytyä paitaa minkä haluaisin laittaa, kävin läpi ainakin kahdeksan erilaista. Sitten löysin kaksi yhdistelmää, toinen violettia ja toinen valkoista. Päädyin valkoiseen ja tykästyin kovasti tähän lookkiin! ♡ Sopivasti söpöyttä, mutta elegantin klassinen ja naisellinen asu. 

At first I was doubtful about how the waist tie is going to stay where it should, because it's a separate piece and there's no loops or other holders on the dress. In the end it stayed on very nicely and I like the fact, that can change the place of the bow and also move the bow-brooch of the dress. This time I placed it on the blouse to create a more whole image.

On the same day I was really struggling with this outfit coordinate. Well at first I couldn't find a blouse that I would want to wear, went through at least eight different ones. Then I found two combinations, the other one purple and other one white. I ended up with the white and really got to liking this look! ♡ Just a the right amount of cute, but elegant and classic, feminine outfit.

Mieleeni tupsahti jostakin idea laittaa hiuksiin tällainen vuosisadanvaihteen edvardiaaninen, 1910 luvun tyylinen kampaus. En tiedä mistä tämä pää näitä keksii, mutta se toimii ihanasti old school -tyylisen päähinen kanssa ja muutenkin luo estetiikkaa asun kanssa. Mikään ei estä tekemästä peruukkien kanssa kampauksia! Tässä käytin Gothic Lolita Wigs:in Dutchess Elodie -peruukkia. 

Moni kyseli facebookin puolella kampauksen toteutuksesta, joten voisin siitä tehdä vaikka tutoriaalin. Videon tai sitten blogipostauksen, kummasta tykkäisitte enemmän? Tykästyin itse tyyliin sen verran, että haluan tehdä jotakin samanlaista vielä uudestaankin! ♥

Somewhere an idea popped into my mind to make this kind of turn of the century Edwardian, 1910's style hairdo. I don't know where my mind comes up with these, but it works in a lovely way with this old school-style headdress and brings anyways aesthetics to the outfit. Nothing stops from making hairdos with wigs! Here I used Duchess Elodie-wig from Gothic Lolita Wigs. 

In facebook many asked about making this hair updo, so I could even make a tutorial about it. A video or a blog post. which one would you like the best? I liked this style so much, that want to make something similar another time as well! ♥

Geo Nudy Grey:t oli tosi mukavat ja näyttää kivalta haalean vihreissä silmissä. Väri on nätti ja tuo hieman luonnollisen tuntuman, koska tyyli ei ole jättimäisen näyttävä. Tykkään ja varmasti tulee käytettyä paljon, kun sopii aikalailla kaiken kanssa! ^_^

At the same time was testing new circle lenses from Geocolouredlenses, Long time since grey! 💕

Geo Nudy Grey's were very comfortable and looks nice with pale green eyes. The colour is pretty and they give a slight natural feeling, because the design is not overly shocking. Me likey and definitely going to use a lot, because they fit basically every style! ^_^

Tämä on mun ensimmäinen mekko Long ears & Sharp ears' Studio-merkiltä, mikä on kiinalainen indie lolita brändi. Merkki on tunnettu ympäri maailmaa ja vaatteet, sekä asusteet ovat todella laadukkaita ja omaavat uniikit lookit ja alkuperäisprintit. Arvostan vaivannäköä laadussa ja yksityiskohdissa, kuten aina höpötänkin, ne pienet spessujutut tekee kaikesta mahtavaa.

Totta puhuen mua ensin arvelutti hieman nuo nahkaiset yksityiskohdat ja miten ne toimii, kun värisävyjä on montaa. Yllätyin todella positiivisesti asun ollessa kasassa, tykkäsin ihan hirmuisesti ja aina kuvia katsoessa ihan fiiliksissä! Mekko toimii todella hyvin. Hihat ovat ihan mahtavat ja ne ja koko mekko tuntuu ihanan kevyeltä päällä. Erilaisen leikkauksen ja tyylin ansiosta mekko näyttää moniosaiselta, vaikka se on todellisuudessa yksiosainen.


This is my first dress from Long ears & Sharp ears' Studio-brand, which is a Chinese indie lolita brand. It is known all over the world and the clothing and accessories are really high quality and have their own unique looks and original prints. I really value when effort is put into the quality and details, like I always say, the small special thingies make everything amazing.

To be honest I had some doubts about the leathery details and how they work, when there are many color tones. I was truly positively surprised when the outfit was put together, I liked it tremendously and still feeling it when looking at these pictures! The dress works really well. The sleeves are awesome and they and the whole dress feel very light when worn. Because of the different kind of cut and style the dress looks like it has many pieces, when in reality it is one-piece. 

Säädettävän rinnuksen ja muodon ansiosta mekko sopii monenkokoisille ja muotoisille. ;)

Minäkin näin pienirintaisena näytän jokseenkin muodokkaalta, tykkään ryppypaidoista sun muista!

With the adjustable chest and the shape, the dress fits to many sizes and shapes. ;)

Me with my small chest look even somewhat shapely, I like ruffly shirts and such!

Gothic occult witch photoshoot ✝ Deadfine

Hei ihanaiset!
Tällä kertaa kertoilen teille upeasta uudesta verkkokaupasta nimeltä Deadfine.fi. Kyseessä on siis hiljattain Suomeen perustettu alternative ja gootti-liike, mistä saa kaikenlaisia ihanuuksia. Ihan petollista mennä selaamaan, ostoskori on ihan täynnä alta aikayksikön. :P
Koska on todella mukavaa saada tännekin myyntiin valikoimaa erilaisille oudoille otuksille kuten minä, teimme Deadfinen kanssa yhteistyökuvaukset. Vaikka kuvissa ei paljoa näy lunta, oli tuolloin -15 astetta ja ihan silleen mukavan koleaa poseerata trikoomekossa. Luonto on vaan niin nätti tausta! ♡

This time I'm telling you about a new awesome webstore called Deadfine.fi. It is a recently founded here in Finland to sell all kinds of lovelyness to alternative and gothic people. Absolutely deceptive to even go browse, the shopping cart will be full way too quickly. :P
Because it's really nice to get some variety to be sold here for weird little beings like myself, we did a collaboration photoshoot with Deadfine. Even though there's not much snow in the pictures, it was -15 degrees back then and quite nicely cold posing in a thin dress. Nature is just such a nice background! ♡

I love big wavy sleeves and hoods and witchyness, this was an awesome get. So if during the summer you'll see someone on the street looking like the grim reaper, it could be me. x)

Killstar Unhappy Meal Bag

Tämä oli vaan niin mahtava! Hihii..törkeen hieno! Laukku sulkeutuu magneeteilla, siinä on irrotettava metalliketju ja tuollainen Killstar-tägi ilman mitään erityisempää virkaa. Sisällä pieni sivutasku. Laukku on muuten ihan sopivan tilava, ei sellainen tunkkaisen minimaalinen iltalaukku. :)

Se oli paketoitu nättiin paperiin matkan varrelle, arvostan yksityiskohtia!

This is just so aweome! Hihii..so great! The bag closes with magnets, there's a detachable chain and that Killstar-tag for no special reason. There's a little pocket on the inside. The bag is quite good sized, not the kind of minimal evening purse. :)

It was packed for the mailing to a really pretty paper, I value details!

Meidän piti olla reippaita, koska kuvailemaan lähteminen venyi hieman ja päivän valoisuus erittäin rajallinen näin talvisaikaan. Välillä oli silti pakko laittaa takkia ja housuja päälle ja vetäistä kuppi teetä lämmikeeksi. :)

Kuvat otti mun vanha koulukaveri, joka asuu tällä hetkellä aika lähellä meitä. Jälkikäsittely on omaa jälkeä ja minullahan ei ole varsinaisesti mitään photoshop taitoja. Jotain pieniä säätöjä ja se on siinä. Sain kuitenkin näihin vähän sellaista old school goottia ylikontrastista fiilistä, mistä tykkään kovin! ♥ Kertokaas mulle mitä mieltä ootte!

We had to be quick, because we started the photoshoot later than planned and the light of the day is very limited during winter time. Between some pictures had to put coat and pants on and have a cup of tea to keep warm. :)

The pictures are taken by my old friend from school, who currently lives quite close to us. The post-production is done by yours truly and technically I don't have any photoshop skills. Some little adjusting and that's it. I did manage to get this old school gothic overly contrast feeling though, which I really like! ♥ Let me know what you think!
