Cloudberry Lady pre-christmas party

Jokunen miitti- ja asupostaus olisi tässä tuloillaan! Selailin tuossa kuvia mun lolita asujen hinnat-postaukseen ja tajusin, että on jopa jäänyt syksyltä jotain postaamattakin. Huonosta muistista kärsii koko ihminen. x)
No mutta kuitenkin ollaan menossa joulukuussa ja joulu lähenee. Perinteisiä pikkujouluja ei ole tullut kahlattua kauheasti läpi, mutta yksi joulumiitti ja lolitojen pikkujoulut on ollut. Cloudberry Lady järjesti ihanat Hienohelmojen pikkujoulut Hämeenlinnassa, Nooran viinibaarin alakerrassa. Tarjolla oli hyvää syötävää, sekä jälkkäriä ja etukäteen lipun mukana sai ostaa mukaan kuuluvaksi viiniä, mutta koska olen todella nirso viinien suhteen, ostin paikan päällä omat juotavat. :P

Some meetup- and outfit posts are coming up! I was browsing through picture for my lolita outfit costs-post and realized, that haven't posted some from the fall at all. The whole person suffers from having a bad memory. x)
Oh well, we're already at December and Christmas is getting closer. Haven't been to many pre-christmas parties this year (in Finland it's traditional to have these "little christmas" with co-workers or friends, because the actually holiday is usually spent with family), but have had one Christmas meetup and lolita little christmas party. Cloudberry Lady organised a lovely fancylady pre-christmas party in Hämeenlinna, at the downstairs of Noora's wine bar. There was good food available, also dessert and in advance with the ticket could have bought it to include wine, but because I'm rally picky with wines, decided to buy my drinks at the event. :P

Kaikki ei tietenkään juonu alkoholia, itse nautin hyvää punaviiniä ja tosi lolitamaisesti oluen, mutta sentäs se tarjoiltiin sellaisessa hyvin elegantissa korkeassa lasissa.

Everyone didn't drink alcohol of course, I enjoyed good red wine and was very lolita-like when had one beer, but at least it was served in a really elegant style tall glass.

Ihana Tuulia oli varannut meille vähän näperrettävää; tehtiin itse kukkasia valmiista terälehdistä, rautalangasta ja muusta tarvittavasta. Osa innostui tekemään aika paljonkin kukkia ja toiset nauttivat hyvästä seurasta ja herkuista. Tykkään itse kaikenlaisista käsitöistä, joten oli kiva tehdä sellaista, mitä ei olekaan ennen tehnyt. Alla mun ruususet~ ♥

Lovely Tuulia had programmed us some crafting; we made flowers from ready petals, iron wire and other supplies. Some got excited to do many flowers and some were enjoying the good company and yummies. I myself like all sorts of crafting, so it was nice to do something, that haven't done before. Sillä hetkellä kun näin tän mekon Lolita Updates-ryhmässä facebookissa, se oli materialismi-rakkautta ensisilmäyksellä! Tuli kiire varata mekko ja Taobaospree pilasi homman ja myöhästyin (en voi suositella kyseistä shopping serviceä enää, ei toimi), mutta Taobaoring tiedusteli asiaa mun puolesta ja sain kuulla, että mekkoa voi olla saatavilla muutama kappale tuotantoprosessin jälkeen ja sain kuin sainkin mulle yhden! WäääH! ♡ ♡
Pidän edelleenkin vaalean vihreästä / pistaasin väristä lolitassa, se on jotenkin ihanaa. Tämä mekko oli ihan ehdoton tässä värissä, koska kankaan kuvio ja pitsit erottuvat paremmin. Tuo mekon kaulus muistuttaa mua Beth:in mekosta Pikku Naisia piirroselokuvasta, mistä tykkäsin kovin pienenä.

Mulla ei ollut ihan sopivaa päähinettä mekon kanssa, joten näpersin sitten kuumaliiman kanssa sellaisen ja poltin samalla tietty sormeni. x)

On that moment when I saw this dress on Lolita Updates-group in facebook, it was materialism-love at first sight! I was in a hurry to reserve the dress and Taobaospree ruined the whole thing and was late (can't really recommend this particulas shopping service anymore, doesn't work), but Taobaoring asked for me and heard, that there might be few dresses left after the production process and after all got one for myself! WaaaH! ♡ ♡

Still liking pale green / pistachio colour in lolita, it's somehow really lovely. This dress was a must in this colour, because the fabric's details and the lace are more visible. The neckline of the dress reminds me of Beth's dress in Little Women cartoon movie, which I liked a lot when I was little. 

Didn't have a matching headdress to go with the dress, so I made one with hot glue gun and of course burned a finger in the process. x)

Ordering from Infanta ~ Love&Canary JSK and Chiffon OP underdress

Tilasin ensimmäistä kertaa kiinalaiselta indie brändiltä, Infantalta, joilla on kauppa Taobaossa. Taobaoonhan yleensä tarvitsee shopping servicen tai jälleenmyyjän, joka tekee ostokset puolestasi ja pyytää siitä vähän maksua, tällaisia ovat esimerkiksi Taobaospree, Buychina, Kiinatukku, Aliexpress ja My Lolita Dress. Taobaosta yleisesti ostamiseen olenkin jo tehnyt ohjeistuksen aiemmin ja se löytyy täältä.

Taobaossa on lukuisia lolitaa myyviä liikkeitä, osa omia merkkejä ja osa replicoita. Näiden kanssa kannattaa olla varovainen ja muutenkin kysellä kokemuksia, mistä tuotteet kannattaa tilata. Itse tykkään Taobaospreestä, mutta Buychinan kanssa kokemus ei ollut positiivinen. Huomasin ilokseni, että Infantalta on mahdollisuus ostaa suoraan ulkomaille sähköposti-tilauksella! Pitihän sitä heti kokeilla. :D

Ordered the first time from a chinese indie brand, Infanta, which has a store in Taobao. Usually will need a shopping service ora reseller, who does the shopping for you and asks for a little payment of it, these for example: Taobaospree, Buychina, Aliexpress and My Lolita Dress.
In general about buying from Taobao I have already made guide for it and can find it here.

Taobao has many lolita selling stores, some their own brands and some replicas. With these should be a bit careful and anyhow ask around experiences where to order the items. I like Taobaospree, but with Buychina my experience was not positive. To my joy I noticed, that it's possible to order internationally straigth from Infanta with email-order! Just had to try it. :D

Asked about dress measurements and got good replies.
The customer service was good and not the kind of crappy english.
I chose a cheaper shipping method, after asking about it.
Payed the order via paypal, let them know it and the package was shipped.
Then I became a happy owner of new dresses. ^___^

Infantalla oli juuri tullut uusi kokoelma Love&Canary, joka on hyvin prinsessainen, eli täydellisesti mun makuun sopiva! Innostuin itse vaaleanpunaisen JSK:n lisäksi sifonkisesta alusmekosta. Lolita-muodissa on ollut todella 'in' pidemmät hameosat classic-tyylisuunnassa ja erilliset alushameet, jotka auttavat tekemään hameista pidemmän oloisia lisäämällä röyhelöä alareunaan. Alusmekko on todella kätevä tekemään mekkojen tai vaikka hameiden kanssa ihanan yhtenäisen vaikutelman ja tämä OP malli on hyvin kaunis, ei ihme että ovat myyneet todella hyvin.

Infanta had just released a new collection Love&Canary, which is very princessy, so a perfect fit for my taste! Got excited besides the pink JSK about a chiffon underdress. In lolita-fashion longer skirts and hemlines have been really 'in' especially with classic-style and separate underskirts, which help make the skirts longer looking by adding some ruffles underneath the original hemline. An underdress is really nice to make a whole look with dresses and even with skirts and this OP desing is very beautiful, no wonder they have sold like hotcakes.

Love&Canary pink JSK

Todella tyytyväinen laatuun ja printtiin, sekä yksityiskohtiin. Kokoelmassa on myös toinen jsk, mutta halusin tämän eturöyhelöillä olevan ja pidin yläosan mallista, siinä on muutama muoviluu pitämässä muotoa. Aivan unelma!

Very pleased with the quality and print, also to the details. The collection has another jsk, but I wanted this one with front ruffles and liked the desing of the upper half, there's a couple of blastic bones to keep the shape. Absolutely dreamy!

 

Chiffon lolita OP

Mekko on tosi ihana ja valitsin valkoisen, enemmänkin luonnonvalkoinen, koska se sopii useamman vaatekappaleen kanssa, mitä pinkki. Pitsit on kauniita ja yleisesti laatu..paitsi..mun mekossa oli ihan lurpsahtaneet kuminauhat, hihat oli pahimmat, ne ihan mureni pieniksi kuivuneiksi paloiksi. Kävi ilmi, että mun mekko oli näytekappale ja siinä onkin pieniä eroavaisuuksia, kuten hihojen malli. Ensin oli puhetta, että vien sen paikalliselle ompelijalle, mutta se olisi tullut melkein yhtä kalliiksi, kuin uusi mekko. Tämän jälkeen sovimme, että saan korvausta takasisin päin ja vaihtelin kuminauhoja sitten itse, oli muuten kauhea homma! Ongelma hoitui todella hyvin. Nyt mekko toimii nätisti, mutta voi olla että poistakin ainakin yhden kuminauhan hihoista. :P

The dress is really lovely and I chose white, more like offwhite, because it fits with more clothing than pink. The lace is beautiful and quality in general..except..my dress had worn out rubber bands, the sleeves were the worst, they crumbled to these little dried pieces. It turned out, that my dress was a sample piece and it has some differences, like the design of the sleeves. First we talked about me talking the dress to a local seamstress, but it would had end up costing almost as much as a new dress. After this we came to an agreement, that will get refund and then changed the rubberbands myself, was a huge load of work btw! The problem got fixed nicely. Now the dress works well, but might be that will remove at least one rubber band from the sleeves. :P

Tilaaminen oli helppoa ja toimi hyvin, voin suositella tämän kautta ostamista ja Infantaa yleisesti. ♡

Tässä muutenkin vähän *körhöm* shoppaillu, lähti ihan lapasesta, joten kaikenlaista uutta kivaa on tiedossa ja ihan muutenkin. En malta odottaa et pääsen näyttään ja kertoon teille! :D

Mun ei pitäny tilata sieltä mitään näin pian, mutta oli pari kivaa juttua alessa ja halusin kokeilla eri postitusta. Jälleen käytin TaoBaoSpreetä, halusin kokeilla miten paketti tulee lentopostilla ja ensi kerralla kokeilen varmaan SAL-pakettia. I've been a bit lazy blogger lately..sorry :P

I'm gonna show you quickly my small package from TaoBao which arrived today last week! I was not supposed to order anything from there for a while, but there was some nice things in sale and I wanted to try a different shipping method. Again I used TaoBaoSpree, I wanted to see how my order arrives with airmail and next time I'll propably try SAL. Previous posts about this: TaoBao haul and How to order from TaoBao .

EMS-paketti (laatikko) saapui viidessä arkipäivässä ja jumitti tässä välissä vielä tullissakin. Hong Kongin lentopostilla (maksikuori) kesti myös viisi arkipäivää ja se ei käynyt tullissa, mutta tätä ennen kesti kaksi päivää, kun paketti lähetettiin lähetettäväksi. Kannattaa siis kysellä hintoja, sillä eroa näissä on kuitenkin, mutta jos lentopostissa pakettille käy jotain, ei taobaospree vastaa siitä ja kaiketi hukkumisia tapahtuu aina silloin tällöin. Suosittelisin tärkeille ostoksille EMS-lähetystä vakuudella, mutta jos haluaa kokeilla ja ottaa riskin, voi kokeilla lentopostia.

EMS-package (a box) arrived in five business days and was stuck in customs within the time. Hong Kong airmail (big envelope) took also five business days and it didn't go to customs, but before this it took two days when the package was sent to be send. I recommend to ask prices, because there's a difference, but if something happens to the package with airmail, taibaospree does not take responsibility and I guess packages get lost from time to time. I think EMS is good to use if there's something important to be shipped, but if one want's to try and is willing to take a risk, then can try arimail.

 ..söpöjä kännykkäkoruja, pikkuinen pupu-pussukka ja extrana saatu helmikoru. Tilasin kans peruukkiverkkoja, jotka laitetaan peruukin alle, niitä ei koskaan voi olla liikaa, ku ne tuntuu aina jemmautuvan jonnekin. Ylimääräisenä sain yhden violetin, tosin mulla ei oo violettia peruukkia..hmm..tarvii varmaan hommata. :P Tilaamani peruukin mukana tuli myös yksi musta verkko.


Sitten tietty jo mainitsemani peruukki ja pari ihanaista vaatetta. ^^

..was cute phone charms, little bunny-pouch and pearl-bracelet, that I got as an extra. I also ordered some wig caps, which I use under my wigs, you can never have too many of these, because they always seem to get lost mysteriously. As an extra I got one purple-cap, although I don't have any purple wigs..hmm..maybe I need to get one. :P One cap also came with a wig I got.

Then the already mentioned wig and couple of lovely clothings. ^^

Peruukki on hieman tummempi, kuin mitä odotin, sellainen tumman vaalea, mut ihan kiva. Siinä on aika pitkä otsatukka ja en oo vielä ihan keksinyt mitä sille tekis. Vaatteet on tosi ihania ja sopii hyvin, mekko itseasiassa paremmin ku mitä odotin! :D Paita on yllättävän iso kiinalaiseksi yhden koon vaatteeksi, mutta käytin sitä eilen farkkujen kans ja se oli tosi mukava ja tosi söpö arkiseen käyttöön. :)

The wig is a bit darker than I expected, it's more of a dark blond, but quite nice. It has long bangs and I've not really figured out what to do with them yet. The clohtes are lovely and they fit nicely, the dress actually better than I expected! :D The shirt is suprisingly big for a chinese one size, but I used it yesterday with jeans and it was really confortable and super cute for casual wear. :)

Tajusin sit vasta eilen, että miksen samoilla postimaksuilla tilannu toista tommosta paitaa, mutta violettina...kröh x)  Laittelen asukuvia, kunhan ehdin sellaista kokoamaan. :)

I realized this yesterday, that why didn't I buy another shirt with the same shipping costs, but in lavender..stupid me :P  I will post outfit pics as soon as I have time put one together. :)
