Winter Lolita Outfit

Hello darlings ♥
I wanna share with you a winter coordination I wore recently when it was -15 degrees and went to buy some more fabric to my current morigirl sewing project with my grandma.
Wanted to dress up and look like a human being and not the ragged home style single mom I have been for some time during the holidays. I love wearing old and worn out clothing at home, because we rarely get visitors with my daughter. This is one of the reasons I like to dress up, because it balances my need to be comfy and feeling I look like myself.

Vintage classic lady lolita

Coat & Belt~  Vintage
Hat~  H&M
Dress~  Innocent World
Bag~  Muchacha Ahcahcum
Necklace~  Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium / Wookie ♡
Boots & Shirt~  2nd hand finds

I've had this outfit in mind for some time, but made a few finishing touches in quite a hurry actually. I was thinking, that this is one of my fastest outfits put together and it ended up being something I really liked. On my little trip to Helsinki just before Christmas, found this dark red hat from H&M and thought it was the perfect colour to burgundy themed outfits. I love hats! ♥ The edge was supposed to be other other way around, but changed it to this shape and think the hat works better like that. Whenever I wear this dark red Innocent World JSK, it makes me feel like royalty!

I love that coat! It's actually a 70's vintage winter coat and originally owned by my mom's cousin. I got it some time when I was young and used to call it teddy bear coat when I was a teenager. The big hood is the best part! ♥

When visited Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium while in London, I got to liking a cat called Wookie and they were selling Wookie necklaces! Waaah~ It's such an adorable cat necklace! ♥ ♥

It's super rare for me to dress up and not wear a wig these days. I used to love working with my hair and doing hairdos, but for a few years now, lacking the material on my own behalf. I got the length and perhaps some skills, but the hair keeps breaking and getting thinner. Some time later when putting together a post about my style history, you can see how my hair used to be. Luckily wigs look very natural these days, so can wear and do hairdos with them! :D

Btw that's my natural colour, but the tips still have some colour left from when I last time dyed them. It's kind of like blonde ombre hair. Hihih~

And my natural eye colour as well. So natural compared to most of my looks..hmm..weird..but I like it, Works for this look and outfit coordination. :)

It's finally WINTER in Finland! Yayyy!! Wohoo!! It's been around -12 to -28 degrees and I'm loving it. I prefer a really warm summer, but will take winter any day instead of cold and rainy dark weather. There's so much light outside when there's snow, can wear other than rainy day shoes, don't have to wear and umbrella or get well all the time, can go ice skating and hill sliding, can make snow castles and other fun stuff. The best part is, that it looks like a frozen fairytale world. ♡

Do you have a proper winter where you live? Do you like it?

Blue Pirate Lolita

Hi dear readers ♡
I'm a bit lazy again and writing only in english, hope you don't mind and let me know if you do! ^^
We had another meetup before Christmas, so people who couldn't make to the first one, could attend this one. I was at both meetups and this time had my daughter with me as well. I have heard about people who dislike it when lolitas bring their children to meetups, so I made sure it was alright with the organizer, dressed up my daughter in a frozen dress, which is really lolita like (it's a cupcake shaped jsk) and she had a lolita blouse underneath. She was behaving very well, didn't interrupt any conversations or anything else like that, so don't see the problem, well at least in situations like this one. After the meetup we visited a couple of stores and saw my darling Leena quickly to exchange gifts.
Sorry about the picture quality, it was a dark and a very short day..

 Omnomnomnomnomnomnom~

Gift swap was a part of the meetup and this time actually remembered to participate. Got this really pretty package (which I'm definitely going to re-use as the recycling person I am) and got such a cute gift! Four coasters, that look like lace and a carousel necklace! Waaah! ♡ Been using the coasters all the time and my daughter wanted one under her paw patrol-mug...aaws~

Pirate Lolita Outfit

Blouse~  second hand shop
Dress~  Chess Story
Socks~  Ergi by Piratessan
Shoes~  Dreamv / Yumetenbo
Hair~  Gothic Lolita Wigs - Rhapsody

I got a random outfit again, not really that christmas one like the previous one either. :P Actually had this another coord in mind, but it was raining, so couldn't wear the hat I wanted and then put this thing together. It's actually a bit unusual to combine light blue, dark red and black, but in this weird way they work together. Just got this pretty scarf and immediately thought about pirates! Use to wear big scarfs and other huge pieces of fabrics on my head when I had dreadlocks and still loving the style. Made this fluffy up do with my rhapsody wig, so it doesn't get tangled while putting on and off all the winter layers.

We have bee enjoying the holidays by relaxing, eating, watching cartoons, eating, chilling and eating some more. My daughter got this train set for christmas and our cats, especially Nekku who's in the picture, were really creeped out by the self-moving train. It was so funny though. x) We made baked gluten-free gingerbread cookies and decorated them. They really look like our kind of cookies, cats and bats and loads of pink! ♥ Nomnom, they were really good!

This is my new Hello Kitty calendar / schedule book / diary. Bought it from cdjapan and was actually surprised how big and versatile it was. Been having different kinds of calendar books for a few years, first there was a Totoro one, then a Jiji one, last year got this tiny Charmmy Kitty booklet and now Hello Kitty. I like to start my new year with a new calendar and trying to fill it as much as I can, because having a really bad memory, I try to write down what I have done on each day..otherwise I don't remember. x)

✩ Already having a new calendar for 2016? What kind? ✩

✣ Cloudberry Lady medieval inspired dress ✣

Hi sweeties and happy new year! ♡

Hope you've been having a nice timer over the holidays. Where did you spend it and did you get some nice presents?
I've been mostly home with my daughter, visited some relatives and eaten way too well..hihih. :P Bought myself some material awesomeness for Christmas, you'll be seeing them with my outfits ofc. In December our community had a Christmas meetup, which has been formed into an annual tradition to have it at Tallipiha. The armosphere is really lovely, because the place is very intimate and the surroundings speak of past times. First we visited the Christmas market at Tampere central square, but it was really crowded and just wanted to get out of there. x)

Last year's Christmas meetup you can find here and the year before that here.

I was actually way more Christmassy the day before, when I visited work and wore a burgundy lolita outfit. It's just really dark this time of the year, so if missing the right time to take outfit pictures outside, then they won't be happening and it's been raining so much, that outdoors photoshooting is not a possibility. At the meetup I was almost looking like Japanese yankee (a gang member) with my long black coat, military styled buttons and a red arm patch. Scary gothic being. x)

After the meetup and strolling around the beautiful handicraft shops at Tallipiha, me and a couple of others went into this little Finlayson church to take shelter from the rain and take some outfit pictures. We asked if it was ok and got a permission for it. It's this so called children's church and very lovely place, where many people like to have their weddings. There are table setting of seasonal biblical stories and little dolls children can play with. I've been there once with my babygirl, even though I'm a pagan, but I do enjoy historical stories.

Casual Medieval Gothic Outfit

Dress~  Cloudberry Lady
Shirt~  EMP Gothicana
Hair~  Gothic Lolita Wigs - Yaki Lace Front
Head jewelry~  H&M
Rings~  H&M, Topshop

I just had to wear my new dress from a finnish lolita brand Cloudberry Lady, which I had just bought at the Pre-Christmas Party. It's a sample piece Tuulia had made for Rufflecon fashion show and I just fell in love with the fabric and the overall style. I love medieval stuff and the kind of twirly old-fashioned patterns! Wasn't sure if it was going to fit me, since couldn't try it on with my wig at the time of the purchase, but yes, I can get the zipper to close! Wohoo!

I'm not wearing any petticoat, so this technically doesn't qualify as lolita, but when holding the hem nobody notices..hihih. The skirt is a-line and not that big. When I tried it with my petticoats, none really looked good and the dress made this weird crinkle to the waist, so I left them out. What you think? Is it maybe just a gothic outfit or some dark otome (is there even such a thing)?
