Ihanaa uutta vuotta! ♡

Vuonna 2016 on ollut kaikenlaista ihanaa ja upeaa, mutta mukaan on mahtunut myös paljon huonoja fiiliksiä. Hyvien ja positiivisten asioiden muistelu ja huomioiminen kuitenkin lämmittää sydäntä. Pakko vähän hehkuttaa sitä kuinka olen yrittänyt olla positiivisempi, nähdä niitä hyviä pieniä asioita ja nauttia niistä. Tämä muutos ei tietenkään tapahdu kokonaan yhdessä yössä, mutta olen aikas ylpeä itsestäni, kun olen yrittänyt ja se on ihan oikeasti kannattanut! On aikoja jolloin joku asia rikkoo kaiken ja minä romahdan siihen syvään masennuksen ja ahdistuksen kuoppaan. Olen yrittänyt olla korostamatta pahoja asioita tai huolia. Yrittänyt luottaa siihen, että universumi kyllä pitää musta huolta ja jättää pois juttuja tästä yliajattelevasta päästä, jos ne on turhia tai en voi tehdä niille asioille mitään. Olen voinut huomattavasti paremmin ja ollut oikeastaan onnellisempi, on ollut aikoja jolloin yleensä valitan jostain tai murehdin asioista koko ajan päässä, mutta sen sijaan nyt ollut rennompi ja nauttinut hetkistä. Uskomatonta kuinka niin vähän voi muuttaa niin paljon. Aion yrittää pitää tätä yllä ja kouluttaa mun aivoja keskittymään positiiviseen ja löytämään kivoja asioita jokaisessa tilanteessa ja vaikka murheidenkin keskellä. Se ei ole ollenkaan helppoa aina, mutta elämä olisi näin niin paljon nautittavampaa ja haluan olla esimerkkinä mun tyttärelle. 💓

Lovely new year! ♡

There has been all sorts of awesome and wonderful stuff during 2016, but there has been some bad vibes as well. Remembering the good and positive things warms my hearth though. Gotta hype this a little bit how I have been trying to be more positive, see the good little things and enjoy them. This change doesn't happen completely overnight of course, but I'm quite proud of myself for trying this much and it has actually paid off! There are times when something breaks everything and I'm falling into that deep hole of depression and anxiety. I've tried not to highlight the bad stuff and worries. I have been trying to trust the universe taking care of me. Have definitely been feeling much better and have actually been happier, there has been time when I usually complain about something or constantly worry about things in my mind, but instead of that have been more relaxed and enjoyed the moment. How incredible that this little can change so much. I'm going to try and keep this up and train my brain to to focus on the positive and to find nice things in every situation and even in the middle of troubles. It is not always easy at all, but life would be so much more enjoyable like this and I want to set an example for my daughter. 💓

Sparkling eyes see the magic everywhere 🌟

Käytiin Jaakkon kanssa kuvailemassa vähän talvifiiliksiä ja puskakuvia. Jaakko on nyt viime vuoden aikana alkanu tekeen paljon tämmöisiä ihania lähikuvia luonnon kanssa. Tykkään kovin tästä unenomaisesta ja herkästä tunnelmasta. Lähdin tällaisella vintage-tyylillä ja luonnonläheisillä väreillä. Oli kerrankin muuten mahtavaa ulkokuvauksissa talvella, missä en palelluta itseäni. Wohoo!

Mulla on mun äidin serkun vanha lampaannahka takki, se on muuten ihanan lämmin ja tuo huppu on paras. Kutsuin tätä teininä nallekarhu takiksi. Kelputaan tämän eläinjäännöksen, koska se on vintage kipale jostain ehkä 70-luvulta. Hame on vintage kirpparilöytä by Kaisu Heikkilä Oy ja alushame random vintagelöytö. Saappaat on ihan parhaita kirpparilöytöjä, ne on mulle kokoa liian isot, joten sinne mahtuu villasukat alle ja minä pieni vilukissa tarvitsen melkein ympäri vuoden ne villasukat.  

We went to photoshoot some winter vibe and in the bushes -photos with Jaakko. He has been doing a lot these kind of closeup pictures with nature during the past year. I really like this dream-like and sensitive feeling. I went with this vintage -style and toned down colors. For once it was really awesome to be at an outdoor photoshoot during winter and not freeze myself. Wohoo!

I'm wearing my mom's cousin's old sheepskin coat, it's btw lovely and really warm and that hood is the best. As a teenager I used to call this teddy bear coat. I accept this animal remain, because it's a vintage piece perhaps from somewhere around 70's. The skirt is a Finnish vintage flee market find by Kaisu Heikkilä Oy and the underskirt is some random thrifted vintage find. The boots are one of the best fleemarket finds, they are a size too big, so I can fit woolen socks underneath and someone as always cold as me needs woolen socks almost throughout the year.

Winter Lolita Outfit

Hello darlings ♥
I wanna share with you a winter coordination I wore recently when it was -15 degrees and went to buy some more fabric to my current morigirl sewing project with my grandma.
Wanted to dress up and look like a human being and not the ragged home style single mom I have been for some time during the holidays. I love wearing old and worn out clothing at home, because we rarely get visitors with my daughter. This is one of the reasons I like to dress up, because it balances my need to be comfy and feeling I look like myself.

I've had this outfit in mind for some time, but made a few finishing touches in quite a hurry actually. I was thinking, that this is one of my fastest outfits put together and it ended up being something I really liked. On my little trip to Helsinki just before Christmas, found this dark red hat from H&M and thought it was the perfect colour to burgundy themed outfits. I love hats! ♥ The edge was supposed to be other other way around, but changed it to this shape and think the hat works better like that. Whenever I wear this dark red Innocent World JSK, it makes me feel like royalty!

I love that coat! It's actually a 70's vintage winter coat and originally owned by my mom's cousin. I got it some time when I was young and used to call it teddy bear coat when I was a teenager. The big hood is the best part! ♥

When visited Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium while in London, I got to liking a cat called Wookie and they were selling Wookie necklaces! Waaah~ It's such an adorable cat necklace! ♥ ♥

It's super rare for me to dress up and not wear a wig these days. I used to love working with my hair and doing hairdos, but for a few years now, lacking the material on my own behalf. I got the length and perhaps some skills, but the hair keeps breaking and getting thinner. Some time later when putting together a post about my style history, you can see how my hair used to be. Luckily wigs look very natural these days, so can wear and do hairdos with them! :D

Btw that's my natural colour, but the tips still have some colour left from when I last time dyed them. It's kind of like blonde ombre hair. Hihih~

And my natural eye colour as well. So natural compared to most of my looks..hmm..weird..but I like it, Works for this look and outfit coordination. :)

It's finally WINTER in Finland! Yayyy!! Wohoo!! It's been around -12 to -28 degrees and I'm loving it. I prefer a really warm summer, but will take winter any day instead of cold and rainy dark weather. There's so much light outside when there's snow, can wear other than rainy day shoes, don't have to wear and umbrella or get well all the time, can go ice skating and hill sliding, can make snow castles and other fun stuff. The best part is, that it looks like a frozen fairytale world. ♡

Otome Mori-Girl & Twinbraids

Moi murut ♥

Niin ihanaa kun on ollu jopa vähän lämpösiä kelejä! Wuhuuu! Meitsi tykkää lämpösestä, sillon ei kolota ja oo nii paljoo särkyjä. Voi jopa jättää hupparit ja kaulahuivit kotiin. Mahtavaa!
Eilen oli pieni miitti erään lolitan luona ja tarkoituksena oli pelata Mahjongia, sitä ihan oikeaa sellaista, missä on useampi pelaaja ja sellaiset hienot palikkatiilet. En oo koskaan ennen pelannu, mutta jo muutaman kierroksen jälkeen oli ihan koukussa! x) Haluun pelata lisää ja oppia kunnolla kaikki erikoisuudet. Nämä kyseiset tiilet näytti ihan toffeelta ja koko pelin ajan himoitsin syödä niitä (no ei nyt ihan oikeasti), joten kotimatkalla tartti käydä hakeen pari pussia kermatoffeeta. :P~

It it so wonderful that we've had a bit more warm weather! Wuhuu! Me likes it warm, because then won't be aching and hurting as much. Can even leave hoodies and scarfs at home! Awesome!
Yesterday we had a little meetup at a lolita's place and the plan was to play Mahjong, the real actual game, where there are several players and the kind of fancy tiles. I have never played before, but already after few rounds was totally hooked! x) I wanna play more and learn all the special thingies. These particular tiles looked like toffee and during the game was craving to eat them (well not really though), so on the way home had to get a couple of bags of cream toffee. :P~

Halusin pukeutua johonkin aika rentoon ja totta puhuen mulla on ollu nuo ihan samat vaatteet päällä jo useamman kerran, mutta nyt asustelin vähän enemmän ja tein kunnon kokonaisuuden. Maanläheisyys ja luonto on niin tärkeitä mulle ja rakastan vintage-vaatteita, keskiaikaa ja muuta sellasita, joten tästä tuli sellainen otome-morigirl-öjhlämöhlä-sekameteli-asu! Vanha hippi-minä taitaa puskea kesällä esiin. :D

Noista kengistä tykkäilen tosi paljon! Ne muistuttaa mua vintage-popoista ja ootte ehkä huomannu, että oon näitä käyttäny tosi paljon nyt lähikuukausina asujen kanssa. :P

I wanted to wear something quite casual and to he honest, have worn those exact same clothes for a few times before, but now got to really accessorize it more and made a whole coordination. Being down to earth and nature are really important to me and I love vintage-clothing, medieval and that kind of stuff, so this became an otome-morigirl-mix and match-outfit! Think the old hippie-me is coming out during the summer. :D 

Really liking a lot of the shoes! They remind me of vintage-shoes and you might have notices, that been wearing them a lot in the past few months with my outftis. :P 

Näinkin tavallaan arkisella asulla tuli random ihmisiltä positiivisia kommentteja..yksi täti bussipysäkillä tykkäsi kovasti, sitten bussissa oleva vanhempi mies kertoi, että hienoa kun on kaikki sävy sävyyn ja jokunen muukin. On se aina kiva kuulla, että asu on onnistunu. ^___^

Even with an outfit as casual style as this, random people were giving positive comments..one lady on the bus stop really liked it, then on the bus an older man told me, that it was great how everything were matching and some others. It's always nice to hear, that the outfit is a success. ^___^

This time something a bit more weird, me without a wig! What kind of sorcery is this now?! >_<
Well, like I always say, variation is refreshing and from time to time can be just with this really thin and lesser amount of hair. Kind of vintage- and otome-styled outfit. :)

Asu on vähän tuollainen vanhoillisen tätimäinen, mutta ei sellainen tantta kuitenkaan. :P

Takki on äitini vanha 60- tai 70-luvulta ja muu onkin käytettyä tai jotain randomia, paitsi kengät on spiritstoren outletista ja en millään saa päähäni tuota laukun merkkiä..se on jotain bag dac, gag tai jotain sinne päin, en saa selvää tuosta epämääräisestä tekstilogosta kassissa. xD

The outfit is kind of a auntie-looking, but not in a bad way I think. :P
The coat used to be my mom's in the 60's or 70's and everything else is random or second hand, except the shoes, which are from spiritstore outlet and I just can't remember the brand of the bag..it's something like bag dac, gag or something like that, can't figure it out from the weard looking textlogo on the bag. xD

Tää oli oikeesti asu mun tädin miehen hautajaisiin, joten piti olla vähän hillitympi. Oltiin tosin myöhässä ja osallistuttiin vaan muistotilaisuuteen kirkon jälkeen.

This was actually an outfit for my aunt's husband's funeral, so it needed to be more toned down. We were late though and only attended the memorial service after the church.

Otome at a lolita meetup

Hei söpöläiset ♥

Vähän aikaa sitten osallistuin miittiin, minkä tarkoituksena oli tehdä sellaisia kiitos-kirjoja viime viiknoloppuna olleen Enchanted:in kunniavieraille. Moni kantoi paikalle vaikka ja mitä askartelutarvikkeita, mistä sai valita ja koristella Mimin tuomien pikkukirjojen sivuja. Aikaa meillä ei ollut kovin paljoa, koska Tallipihan kabinetin saa varattua vain 1,5tunniksi. Saimme kuitenkin tehtyä todella sivuja ja hommaa jatkettiin toisessa kaupungissa, toivottavasti kunniavieraat pitivät lahjoista. ^__^

Alittle while ago I attended a meetup, which was held to make these thank you-books for Enchanted's guests of honour,it was last weekend in London. Many brought all sorts of supplies, where everyone could choose and decorate pages of minibooks, that Mimi brought. We didn't have much time, because the Tallipiha cabinet was awailable to reserve only for hour and a half. Despite the time, we got some really nice pages done and the job was carried on in another event, hopefully the guests of honour liked the gifts. ^__^

Aiemmin samalla viikolla oli tosi keväistä, lumet suli ja aurinko paistoi, vaikka oli kylmä, kuten on vieläkin. Miittipäivälle luvattiin pilvistä, aamulla satoi sitten räntää ja sai unohtaa nättien kenkien laitamisen. Oma fiilis oli vähän myös harmaa ja ei huvittanut laittaa mitään erityisen pirteää päälle, joten ajattelin laittautua hieman otome-/mummo-tyyliin. Aurinko kuitenkin sitten päätti pilkahdella myöhemmin. Kahvilaosion jälkeen muut lähtivät taidemuseoon, minne mulla ei ollut varaa, joten hyörin keskustassa pari tuntia ja odottelin muita, jonka jälkeen menimme vielä muutaman kanssa syömään kiinalaiseen. ^__^

Earlier the same week was realli spring-like, snow melted and sun was shining, it was still cold though as it still is. The forecast said it ws going to be cloudy, then in the morning it rained slush and could foret wearing any nice shoes. My own feeling was a bit grey too and didn't feel like dressing up colourful, so decided to put on something more otome-/granny-styled. The sun later decided to come to say hello afterall. After the cafe the others went to an art-museum, which I couldn't afford, so I strolled around the city for couple of hours waiting for the other and then we went to have some chinese with few of the girls. ^__^

Tää taitaa olla muuten ensimmäinen kerta, kun kutsun asua otome-tyyliseksi..hihi :D

Vintage frill

Hei kaunokaiset ❤
Postissa saapui tänään eilen perille pieni, mutta aivan ihastuttava paketti ja sieltä löytyi ebaystä huutamani vintage brodyyri-nauhaa. On kaiketi 50-luvulta peräisin ja sitä ei ole käytetty, mutta meitsihän sen laittaa jonkun söpön mekon koristeeksi, kunhan sellaisen ompeluun saan aikaa. :)

Got a small, but absolutely lovely little package in the mail today yesterday and there was broderie-lace which I won from an ebay auction. It's propably from the 50's and it hasn't been used, but I'm gonna use it to decorate some beautiful dress as soon as I have time to start sewing one. :)

Brodyyri on englantilaista ja tietenkin puuvillaa, huomasin, että se on saanut vuosien mittaan pienoista tahraumaa, missä sitten ollutkin jemmassa. Brodyyri on ehdottomasti mun suosikkia kaikenlaisista röyhelöistä ja nauhoista, vaikka tykkäänkin kaikista söpöyksistä, niin tässä on vaan sitä jotain. ^__^

The lace is from the UK so it's broderie anglaise (english) and it's made from cotton ofcourse, I noticed, that it's gotten some tiny stains over the years where ever it's been stored. Broderie is definetly my favourite out of all kinds of frills and laces, although I like alla kinds of cute things, this just has the little something. :)

Myyjä lähetti mulle myös tämmösen pitsikauluksen, mistäköhän se tiesikin, että tää sopii just mun asuihin? :D Vaikka tää ei ookaan puuvilla, niin tykkään siitä silti. Räpsäsin kans pari kuvaa Lunskipunskista. Eikös mun Luna-tyttö ookin kaunis neiti? Söpöliini on vaan vähän masentunu, ku ei näin kylmällä voi ulkoilla niin paljoa ja kun toi ihmislapsonen jahtaa aina kisuja, vaikka komennankin ettei saa kiusata kisuja.

The seller also sent me this lace-collar, wonder how she knew that this goes perfectly with my outfits? :D Even though it's not cotton, I still ilke it. I took couple of pictures of Luna, isn't she a beautiful little lady? Cutie is a bit depressed because it's so cold that can't be outside as much and coz that human child chases kitties around the house, even when I tell her not to.
