Throwback to 2008 lolita style ❤ Black and white cat coord

Tampereella järjestettiin Suomen suurin käsityöalan tapahtuma; Kädentaidot -messut, missä kävi viikonlopun aikana melkein 45000 ihmistä!! Olin onnekas ja sain yhden sisäänpääsylipun Millalta, joka tekee Talking to Myself koruja ja asusteita. Kiitos ihanainen, oli kiva tulla moikkaan ja päästä käymään. Messuilla näkee niin upeita taitajia ja vaikka mitä ihania materiaaleja. Harmi että olin ihan minimibudjetilla, mutta löysin esim mestan missä oli monta pöydällistä kirjoja ja kaikki 2€ kpl!! :D

Kädentaitomessut innosti laittamaan päälle jotain itsetehtyä, piti myös huomioida sää (satoi vettä) ja laittaa sen mukaiset kengät. Tuli tällainen usean vuoden takaiset lolivibat omaava mustavalkoinen kissa-asu. Tulee elävästi mieleen sellainen noin vuosi 2008, kun oli tämän tyylisiä mekkoja ja tyyliä muutenkin. Tyylillä leikkiminen on vaan niin kivaa!

There was the biggest handicraft event of Finland in Tampere just recently; Finnish Craft & Design fair, where there was almost 45000 visitors over the weekend!! I was lucky and got an entrance ticket from Milla, who makes Talking to Myself jewelry and accessories. Thank you sweetie, was lovely to come see you and to visit the fair. At the event there are so much amazing craftsmanship and so many wonderful materials. Too bad I was with a minimum budget, but I found this place where they had several tables full of books and all 2€ a piece!! :D

The craft & design fair got me feeling like wearing something handmade, also had to take in consideration of the weather (it was raining) and wear appropriate shoes. This outfit became a black and white cat -outfit with lolivibes from many years back. It reminds of somewhere around the year 2008, when this sort of dresses and style was around. Playing with style is so much fun! 

Olen alkanut laittamaan hiuskampausta ylös, tällä kertaa tein GLW Rhapsody peruukkiin kaksi lettiä ja niistä sellaiset kiekurat ylös. Huomannut että helpottaa tosi paljon kylmänä kautena kerrospukeutumisen kanssa, kun on kaulahuivi, huppari tai neule tms ja vielä takki päällä. Säästyy turhilta takuilta! Suosittelen 💗

Sai muuten todella paljon aivain ihastuttavia kommentteja messuilla, niistä tulee aina hyvä mieli. Sanottiin nukeksi ja kehuttiin tyyliä ja asua ja sain höpötellä siitäkin jälleen, että mistä näitä tämmöisiä vaatteita ja asusteita saa. Messujen jälkeen, kun kävin moikkaamassa kaveria, niin samaisessa pöydässä sellainen hieman olueen menevä jonkinlainen rokkari hippi tiesi, että tän tyylin nimi on lolita. Kysyi silleen varovaisesti ja varmasti näki mun ilmeestä, että olin super positiivisesti yllättynyt kun joku tietää. (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)

I have been starting to wear my hair up, this time I made two braids with GLW Rhapsody wig and from those a some sort of bun twirls. I have noticed that it's really helpful layers during a cold season, then there's a scarf, a hoodie or a cardigan and a coat on top of that. There's no unnecessary tangles! Highly recommending 💗

By the way I got so many absolutely adorable comments at the fair, they always give such good vibes. I was called a doll and complimented about the style and outfit and got to talk about it again where these clothes and accessories are gotten from. After the fair, when I went to see a friend of mine, there was this beer drinking a bit hippy and rocker style guy at the same table and he knew that the this style is called lolita. He asked about it a bit carefully and definitely saw from my face, that I was super positively surprised, that someone knows. (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)

Purr purr miau~ kissoja, kissoja ja lisää kissoja! Sopii täydellisesti kissahöpön tyyliin. 🐈

Mekossa ja pienessä puolibonnetissa on harmaita kissoja, silti mekon nimi on Mustan Kissan Tango, korvakoruja somistaa musta kissa, sormuksen pienessä mustakehyksisessä taulussa on kissoja ja kaulakorussa ihanainen edesmennyt Albi-kissa, joka oli vanha herra kissakahvilassa. Tuntuu hyvältä kantaa pientä muistoesinettä tästä ihanasta persoonasta.

The dress and the small halfbonnet has grey cats, still the dress is called Black Cat's Tango, the earrings are decorated with a black cat, the black framed ring has kitty cats and there's the old mister of the cat cafe, lovely Albi-cat, who has already passed away. Feels good to carry a memory piece of  this lovely personality.

Long Ears and Sharp Ears' Studio ♛ Thorn Castle

My co-model is outshining me, the cutest tiny cat Viiru from Cat Cafe Purnauskis ♡

Hi darlings! ♥

I have done the most amazing collaboration with an indie lolita brand Long Ears and Sharp Ears' Studio from China and gotten a chance to model their amazing clothing pieces! ♡◡♡
I got a pile of posts to show you once I get them done, currently I'm very sick with a possible feverless pneumonia and waiting to get more examinations done next week. So taking my time, bare with me sweeties! (´｡• ᵕ •｡`)

This photoshoot we did in collaboration with LNSE and Sanni Saarenmaa Photography, on the same day we had this awesome pirate shoot, if you missed it, you'll find it here Pirate Lolita - The Great Voyage. This dress is from a newly finished Thorn Castle series collection and the one I am wearing is a Navy blue Vest JSK II, currently on pre-order. It is an early version, so some tiny details have been changed for the final version. I'm also wearing a black blouse from the same collection, it's one of the most comfy lolita blouses I've ever worn! Honestly! The material is super soft, the fit is great and it still looks super elegant. 

At the time I was still working at Cat Cafe Purnauskis, so I asked a permission so we could come take photos on a Sunday when the cafe was closed. There are two red couches, the "sharp ears" mean cat ears and I went to buy some rose pedals meant for crafting, these were the ingredients we used to build the photoshoot around the outfit. Sanni did an amazing job as usual and I think we had loads of fun. I got to be an elegant lolita having afternoon tea at a cat cafe with adult cats and kittens, can't think of many things that could be better! ♥

Behind the scenes

Let me tell you something about cats; most of them love to be a part of what you're doing, hang around you, check all the items that move and are new. Cats are supposed to be the center of attention, they are after all fluffy gods of the universe. You can imagine what it was like to move furniture around and try to take photos while there are 10 cats around, four of them kittens! At times it was very amusing. (≧◡≦)

Lumi (=Snow in finnish) was very interested about the softbox reflector, well it was a new interesting hiding place! She's very lady-like and social little girl. We placed a veil hanging from the cat's climbing tree and the cats got super excited about it! They tried to hunt the edges on the floor, hide underneath, climb it and whatever they could thing of. Had to take the cats down every once in a while or re-place the veil after they had been messing around with it. Luckily cats are super cute and even if they do something more or less forbidden or naughty, they will get away with it. ♥ Purrr~

My honest opinion about the dress? I love it! The print is very majestic regal and I think it can be coordinated with many different styles..already got more ideas for this piece! ♡

I think you might have somehow noticed that I like things that are a bit different, same goes with this dress, because it's a vest dress. There are vests and vest-like coats in gothic lolita and ouji style, but I don't remember seeing something like this before and I'm loving that there is something new and different. Shaking things up a bit, perfect!

Moikka söpöläiset ♥

Mun lolita-vaatekaappiin on kertynyt jo aivan ihana kokoelma kissa-aiheisia mekkoja ja asusteita! Kissaprintit lolita-mekoissa ja hameissa on ollu yksi mun lempparia ja päätin alkaa keskittymäänkin niiden hamstraamiseen. Nyt jonkin aikaa kissaprinttejä on tullut isommilta brändeiltä ja myös indie brändeiltä, erityisesti Taobao-kaupoilla. Niitä on tullut niin paljon, että varat eivät kyllä millään riitä kaikkeen ja ihan kaikki mallit eivät aina miellytäkään omaa silmää, vaikka tällainen kaikkiruokainen ja suvaitseva tyylini suhteen olenkin. Suurimman osan mekoista ja laukuista olen hankkinut käytettynä ja jatkan nättien kisuliinien etsintääni.

My lolita wardrobe has gotten a quite lovely collection of cat-themed dresses and accessories!

Cat prints in lolita dresses and skirts has been one of my favourite things and decided to start focusing on hoarding them. For a while now there has been so many releases of cat prints from bigger brands and also indie brands, especially Taobao stores. There has been so many new ones, that there's no money to get them all and all designs are not pleasing to my own eyes, even though I'm such omnivorous and tolerant with my style. Most of the dresses and bags I've bought second hand and continuing my search search of pretty kitties.

This kind of cat clowder lives in my walk in closet and sometimes my real cat Nekku is chilling in the sock box on the floor. There are many that I would like to get to accompany these, like the new Princess Cat-dress, but it's way over my price range. *sob* There are also a lot other prints and things of which I like especially, like nature- and forest-themes. ♡
